In the spirit of Ramadan 2023, Islamic Relief achieved remarkable success through the Ramadan distribution program. Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide over 162,000 Ramadan food packs, benefiting more than 892,000 rightsholders in 28 countries. Alhamdulillah!
This year’s Ramadan distribution aimed to reach even more vulnerable and underprivileged communities, and with your assistance, we made a significant impact. Your contributions resulted in an extraordinary pledge, enabling more than 162,000 households to enjoy the blessings of Ramadan with dignity, knowing that a few simple needs are covered. Many a time, we do not understand the impact that our donations make in the lives of those who do not know where their next meal will come from, and for them, they are grateful for the support and the thought.
The main focus of our food distribution program was to support fasting families in need, providing vulnerable and under resourced communities worldwide with a Ramadan food pack. Your support played a crucial role in ensuring that those uncertain about their next meal had the opportunity to enjoy the sacred month with dignity.
Islamic Relief has a longstanding commitment to serving humanity with compassion and unwavering dedication, and Ramadan was no exception. The food distribution program addressed the essential needs of communities in various countries – from South Africa to Somalia and Yemen to Gaza. Your donations gave hope and joy to families all over the world.
Our approach to supporting those in need recognizes the unique challenges faced during fragile, disaster, or crisis scenarios, restricted market access, and disruptions in the food supply chain. In response to these challenges, Islamic Relief extended its assistance by providing pre-packaged food items tailored to the specific needs of each community in each country.
From the largest parcel containing 117kgs of groceries in Afghanistan to the smallest one with 20kgs of essential food items for forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals in Bangladesh – Islamic Relief’s impact was felt across the globe.
As we celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s Ramadan food distribution, we are fueled with renewed determination to continue our mission. Your support has allowed us to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need, bringing joy and dignity to communities worldwide.
