Who is Ustadhah Zaahira Karrim Patel?

 

Ust. Zaahira Karrim Patel, International motivational speaker and a respected figure in the Muslim community is known for her tireless efforts towards empowering Muslim women. She is the founder of Ummah Heart Madrassah and co-founder of the Hijab Support Group, dedicated to providing education and support to Muslim women.

Ust. Zaahira’s lifelong passion for education began at Madrassah Mueenul Islam Lil Banaat in Zakariyyah Park, where she enhanced her skills and knowledge in Islamic studies. She also obtained an honours degree in Psychology, proving invaluable as an advocate for women’s rights.

Ust. Zaahira has been appointed as an ambassador of gender-based violence (GBV) by The Islamic careline and Jamiat and uses her platform to bring awareness to the issue of GBV in the Muslim community, and actively promotes strategies for prevention and intervention. Her work has been transformative, positively affecting countless individuals within the Muslim community and serving as a shining example of the power of education and advocacy to make meaningful changes towards empowering Muslim women and the prevention of gender-based violence.
