Emina lives with her mother and brother in Bosnia. They live in rented housing, and her mother receives a small pension as their sole source of income.
Her father died seven years ago, and since then their living condition has deteriorated significantly. In addition to the house being damp, her mother is ill and in need of care. She is currently bed-bound and unable to go beyond her home.
The situation faced by Emina and her family is extremely difficult in the winter. Islamic Relief’s generous donors ensure that her family have some heating and can warm their home.
“Islamic Relief helps us a lot during the year, especially during Ramadan, Eid al-Adha and winter. In the circumstances in which we find ourselves, it is difficult to describe how much this help means to us. I don’t have enough words for that. I can only ask Allah to reward you.
“Last year we didn’t have any heating at all because we did not have the money. At the beginning of winter, our neighbours collected money and bought 3 meters of firewood for us. Islamic Relief’s donation of heating materials helped us to spend the rest of the winter in
a warm home.”
