Postponement of EOI tour

In the early hours of Wednesday [8th December 2016], the Islamabad-bound Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-661 crashed in the Havelian area.

All 48 people on board were killed – inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un; Surely we belong to Allah and to Him is our return.

Among the casualties were Junaid Jamshed and his wife, who were returning from a public engagement in Chitral.

Junaid was scheduled to perform at Islamic Relief’s Evening of Inspiration tour in the final week of December.

In light of this tragedy and out of respect for Junaid, his family and those who have lost their lives, we have decided to postpone the Evening of Inspiration tour.

Junaid had been a long-time supporter of Islamic Relief having previously performed at the same tour in 2012.

His name is globally recognised by millions as an inspirational Nasheed singer and relentless humanitarian.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the families who have lost a loved one in this tragedy.

Whilst it has been difficult to come to this decision, we believe it is the correct one.

Those who have purchased tickets, should have received an email with the update. If you have not, please email [email protected].
