An 18 year old girl living with her mother, who makes a living as a taxi driver, a pivotal grandmother who has basically raised this young leader, in a 2 bedroom flat in Manenberg. She had just matriculated from The Leadership College, a free private school based in the heart of Manenberg. Her achievement is the second of its nature at the school which allows her to boast a 7 distinction bachelors pass amidst a 92% pass rate from a free school in Manenberg. This is an outstanding achievement for the community and contributes to the build up of positivity that will soon derive from this gang infested community. Dhilshaad has been accepted at the University of Stellenbosch of which she will pursue her studies in the Accounting field. With the continuous academic achievements throughout the year, she has managed to obtain 5 possible bursaries of which she has to choose one. The bursary covers her entire course fee and residence fee for the duration of her study period.
